She was a daughter of the late Aldermard and Louisa Smith. She was a graduate of the Sacred Heart High School in Pawtucket, R.I., and the Ring Sanitarium School of Nursing in Arlington. She resided in Townsend, MA for more than 35 years.
She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Apple Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Ayer, before retiring in 1991. Prior to that, she worked at the former Hale Nursing Home in West Groton, and the Ring Sanitarium in Arlington.
She was a communicant of St. John's Church in Townsend.
