Nona Amy Taylor, a Columbus resident since 1997, formerly of Houston where she had lived nearly 60 years, was born and raised in Lee County to Charlie G. Muston and Emma Patience (Nettles) Muston. She and Bernice Ravin Taylor were married June 3, 1931 in Lee County. Mrs. Taylor, a homemaker, was a life member of Christ United Methodist Church in Houston, volunteer at Golden Age Manor in Houston and Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena. She died Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at the age of 91 at the River Oaks Health Care Center in Columbus. Funeral services were held Friday, February 15, 2002 at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Bob Parrott, retired Methodist minister officiating.
