MRS. J.W. CHEEK RITES AT LORAINE
LORAINE ~~ Funeral for Mrs. J.W. Cheek, 78, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church here. She died about 8 a.m. Sunday at her home after becoming ill at the breakfast table.
Officiating will be the Rev. Leonard Hartley, pastor, assisted by the Rev. A.C. Hardin of Lamesa. Burial will be in the Loraine Cemetery under the direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home of Colorado City.
Mrs. Cheek had lived in Loraine 27 years. She was married to J.W. Cheek 56 years ago.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Mayfield of Loraine, Mirl of Midland and Edd of Tuscan, Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. Judson Scrivner of Loraine and Mrs. Louise McCoy of McAlister, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
