DUMAS - Donald Ray Adams, 67, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Ulrey of Etter Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens.

Donald Ray Adams was born April 30, 1940, in Ozark, Ark., to Oscar and Wardna Jeffers Adams. He served in the Navy from 1958 to 1962. He moved to Dumas in 1967 and went to work for Diamond Shamrock. He married Mae Sosebee on July 12, 1968. He loved the outdoors and adored spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Gregory and Joey Adams.

Survivors include his wife, Mae; a daughter, Kellie and husband Mike Cox of Wildorado; six grandsons, Lance, Eric and Kelton Fisk and Joshua, Austin and Nolan Adams; four granddaughters, Ashlyn Adams, Amber and Ann Christian Cox and Whitney Fisk; a great-granddaughter, Bailey; eight brothers and sisters; two nieces; and a nephew.
