Mrs. Carrie Lashmit Cooke,63 formerly of Barnwell Dr., Winston-Salem, died Dec. 2, 1995 at The Oaks at Forsyth. She was born September 14, 1942 in Petoskey, Mi. to Fred and Naomi Viola(Fine) Lashmit. Mrs. Cooke was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Cooke. Survived by two sons, Lanny Cooke and wife Phyllis and Fred Cooke, all of Winston-Salem. Five grandchildren: one great grandchild: 3 sisters, Mrs. Hope Parrish, Vidalia, GA., Mrs. Betty Foster, Petoskey, MI., and Mary Morris of Harbor Springs, MI. Burial will be in Gardens of memory, Walkertown.
