ROSALIE S. BAILEY, 75, of East South Street, Gratis, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 1997 at Sycamore Medical Center in Miamisburg. Born June 25, 1921 in Jackson, Ky., she was the daughter of Godfrey and Joan (Clemmons) Simms. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School and lived there for many years. Mrs. Bailey had retired from Miami University in 1982 where she had worked in the food service areas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bailey; her parents; and two brothers, Otis and Orlando Simms.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole Smith of Gratis; a brother, Thomas C. Simms of Hamilton; and a sister, Ogalie Pace of Brooksville, Fla.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 20, followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.
