Louise Banks, daughter of the late Fred & Verdie Evans Harper, was born in Idalia, Mo. on Jan. 24, 1923, and died at her home in Bloomfield, Mo. on Dec. 24, 2010, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Banks had lived in the Bloomfield area all of her life. She was a member of the Link Church near Bloomfield.

On May 16, 1940, she was married to William Thomas Banks in Idalia, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2006.

Surviving are two sons, Bob Banks of Bloomfield, Mo., Bill Banks of Seattle, Wash.; one daughter, Dorothy Schonlau of St. Louis; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Banken of Dexter; one brother, Charles Harper of Springfield, Mo.; and one uncle, George Evans of Central Point, Ore. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jimmy Schonlau; and four brothers, Ray Gene, Edward, Hershel and Roy Harper.

Visitation was held on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, after 11 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Mo.

Funeral services wereheld on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at noon in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Sue Welborn of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment took place in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Mo. in charge of arrangements.
