W.T. Polston, 75, 1305 Liberty Road, Columbia, Kentucky, died Sunday, October 15, 2006, at his home.

The funeral service will be Thursday, October 19, 2006, at 11:00am CT, at Grissom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery with military honors presented by VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 3:00pm CT, Wednesday, October 18, 2006.

He was the son of the late Herbert and Mary Polston. He was a United States Army veteran who served during the Korean conflict, and was retired from Local 181 Operators Union.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Bryant Polston, in December, 1993.

He is survived by the following:

     • Three sons: Dale Polston, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Bub Polston, Columbia, Kentucky; and Tommy Polston, Florida

     • One sister: Sue Burton, Peru, Indiana

     • And five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

His mother was Blanche (Potts) Polston. She died January 1, 1933 of tuberculosis and was buried in Helms Graveyard (location unknown). His step-mother was Mary (Coomer) Polston. She married his father on September 10, 1945.
