Pearl Gilroy Nash, age 89, of Vernal, passed away peacefully Feb. 6, 2008.

She was born June 2, 1918 in Jensen to Lloyd and Wilma Ainge Gilroy.

Pearl married Roy Neldon Nash on Sept. 24, 1949 in Elko, Nev. There marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Pearl lived a full and productive life. She ran a licensed Day Care Nursery in her home in Vernal. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She held several positions over the years including secretary of Primary and secretary of Relief Society. She worked at Dudley Poultry Farm and loved doing needlework and bead work at the care center.

She is survived by two sons, Ned (Rita) Nash of Vernal, Robert (Teri Ann) Nash of West Valley; brothers, Lloyd Bud (Joan) Gilroy; sister, Ruby Slaugh; three grandchildren, Justin Lloyd Nash, Jesse Roy Nash, Roy Robert Nash; great-grandchildren, Velci Lynn Nash and Jayzon Daniel Nash.

She is preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Wilma Gilroy; husband, Roy Nash; grandson, Jason Nash; sisters, Edna Littleton, Theda Hatch.

Funeral Services were Monday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Jensen LDS Chapel. A viewing was Sunday the 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and at the church one hour prior to services. Interment in the Jensen Cemetery under the direction of Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
