Mrs. Opal Coats, 96, passed away Thursday morning, February 7, 2008. She was born August 11, 1911, in Taney County, at Bluff on Bull Creek to Fred and Maude (Cupp) Anderson.
On November 11, 1929, she married Albert Coats in Ozark, MO. They were married for 45 years before he preceded her in death.
She was a 50 year member of College Street Baptist Church, and she cherished her church family.
Preceding her in death were 3 brothers, Edmond, Paul, and George Anderson; and 1 sister, Flossie Scroggins. Although she didn't have children, there are several nieces and nephews who love and adore her and will miss her greatly.
We will celebrate her life Monday, February 11, 2008 with a visitation at 12 pm followed with a funeral service at 1:00 pm. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home Chapel at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. Interment will be at Spokane Cemetery with no services there.
