~YOU ARE A REAL ANGEL HERE ON EARTH~

YOUR FRIEND ALWAYS, MARTHA

SHE IS THE MOTHER OF:
Robert Lee Rich - Oct.27 1914
Margaret E.(Rich)Busby - Aug.18 1911

Brother - Bedford Mabry
Sisters - Rosie Sinquefield, Lillie Burton
and Pinkie (Pinnie)B. Turner, Carrie M

When I think of my Grandmother. I Feel
warm hugs and sweet kisses. She would
always be standing with the door wide
open and kiss us one by one when we
would come to visit her. She always had
tea cookies ready for us on the kitchen
stove. She was a wonderful cook and
made sunday dinners for the whole
family. She was a wonderful wife and
and mother. My sister Barbara and I
spent many nights at our grandparents
house. I have so many wonderful
memories of those times.
Mamaw was a hard worker she canned
vegatables,jams and jellies from
the berries that my daddy would pick.
She made the best fig preserves. I
have not tasted any like them since
she died. She raised chickens and it
was our job to gather the eggs when
we were there. I was scared of the
rooster it would be a race to get the
eggs before he got you. I remember
how she would pick out a nice fat
chicken for our sunday dinner (not
one of my favorite memories).
Mamaw was a great cook she made
her own butter. I can still see
the churn sitting in the kitchen.
She had beautiful butter molds that
were passed down to family. Sadly
they were sold after my brother
and his wife were divorced.
Mamaw was such a sweet soul she
dearly loved her family. I will
never forget the day she died I was
15 years old and had never lost
anyone so suddenly.
Mamaw was the heart of our family.
She had a heart attack and Papaw
found her it was a sunday. A neighbor
came to the house to tell daddy and he
fell to his knees. My sister and I ran
to a neighbors house and she tried to
comfort us. The next time I saw Mamaw
was at the funeral home. Barbara and I
held onto each other as we walked up to
her casket. Something just didn't look
like our Mamaw and Barbara asked them
to change something and they did.
Her funeral was at the little white
church we had gone to as small
children.
I remember that several of my close
friends were there and how much that
meant to me.
In the coming years I would be there
as they lost their parents and we
cried many tears together.
I didn't know then the pain we would
feel 5 years later when our Grand-
father took his own life after
suffering a stroke. Losing them is
something I live with everyday
but I know that one day we will all
be together again!!

I thought of you with love today, but
that is nothing new. I thought about
you yesterday and days before that too.
I think of you in silence, I often speak
your name. All I have are memories and
your picture in a frame. Your memory is
my keepsake with which I'll never part.
God has you for his keeping. I have you
in my HEART.

I Love You Mamaw -Your Granddaughter!
