Herb passed away peacefully February 17, 2008 with his family by his side of a Massive Stroke.
He was born on July 25, 1930 to Jesse and Mildred in Ottumwa, Iowa. He served 10 years in the US Air Force. He retired from E-Systems Inc. after 29 years of service. He was also an active member of the LDS Church. He loved bowling, golf and playing cards with family and friends. He loved his family very much. He married Barbara Bonas on March 28, 1953. In this union he had two daughters, Pam and Denise. Later divorced then married Joanne Roberts on November 2, 1974. By this marriage they had Heather. They had a loving blended family and never differentiated between the two. They were all one in his eyes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Larry Paul Allen and one great-grandson, Colton Clarke. Survived by his wife Joanne, his brother Jack (Betty) from Ladora IA; children: Pamela (Sherman) White, Denise (Michael) Bohn, Heather (Richard) Meza. Step-children: Larry Kirk (Cindy) Roberts, Bonnie Jo (Steve) Allen, Janet Dawn Roberts and Darrin Lee (Mindy) Roberts, 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A Viewing will be held Wed., February 20, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 E. 10600 S. Graveside Services will be Thursday at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery at 12 noon.
