John Copeland was born in Tennessee in 1841. He came to Erath Co. in about 1875. He died in Huckabay on 24 May 1886

John M. Copeland and wife Margaret Paulina Jones Copeland, probably late 1870's or so. They moved from Corinth, Pike County, Arkansas to Huckabay, Erath County, Texas in 1875. One of the original ten founding families of the Huckabay Community.
