Death of Mrs. J. W. Brown
At the home of her daughter, Mrs. R[ichard] F. Brown, at Thompsonville, August 3, occurred the death of Mrs. J[ohn] W[ard] Brown, aged 78 years. Mrs. Brown had been in failing health for some three years.
She came to Kansas with her husband in the early ' 50's, settling in Shawnee county, of which county she was a resident until her death. Besides her husband she is survived by four children; Edgar Brown, Topeka;
Mrs. R[ichard] F. Brown, Thompsonville; Mrs.
I[saac] B. Brown, 713 Lincoln street, Topeka, and Harry Brown, Seattle, Wash.
The funeral was held at the home of her daughter Sunday morning, conducted by the Rev. Osborne of Grantville and interment was in Oak Ridge cemetery.
