He was the husband of Jean Pazar Bennetch, with whom he celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary last August.
Born in Millbach, PA on June 5, 1935, he was the son of the late David S. and Florence Hostetter Bennetch.
He attended school in Schaefferstown. George was a self employed truck driver and retired from Leb Arnold. George enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, family and friends. He also liked gardening and traveling.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Jill, wife of Troy Bryce of Boiling Springs; brothers, John Bennetch and wife, Loretta of Schaefferstown, Rev. Fred Bennetch and wife, Mary Lou of Marysville and Robert Bennetch and wife, Barbara of Hanover; three grandchildren, Natalie, Kyle, and Mitchell; sister-in-law, Peggy and husband, Elwood Jarman of Jacksonville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Maggie. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Bennetch.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., from the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., at the funeral home.
