EDWARD CLARK DIES; SERVICES TO BE FRIDAY

Services for Edward R. Clark, 92, of Eaton, who died Tuesday in Reid Memorial hospital, Richmond, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Barnes funeral home by Rev. Robert E. Sherrill, New Castle, Ind., and Rev. E. Lee Niswanderof the Eaton Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Spring Lawn cemetery, New Paris. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday.

Mr. Clark was a long time resident of Preble county and for many years was a farmer in the New Paris area. He also had been a county commissioner and a former secretary-treasurer of the Eaton Federal Land Bank association, where he served 24 years until his retirement in 1967. Mr. Clark also was a member of the Presbyterian church; Eaton Lions club for 22 years; the Masonic lodge for more than 50 years; Scottish Rite; Order of Eastern Star; Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and the Wayne Farmers club.

He is survived by two sons, Julian Clark, Eaton attorney, and Paul W. Clark of Dayton; a daughter, Miss Mildred Clark of Cleveland; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mary W. Pence of Portland, Ore.
