A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005, in Fulten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home for Helen Addie Spotts, who died June 29 at age 84.
Helen Wehunt was born May 26, 1921, in Hot Springs, Ark. She moved to Los Angeles in 1937 and to Portland in 1947. She was an in-home companion for the Wee Baby Agency as well as a 4-H leader. In 1940, she married Roland E.; he died in 1980.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley A Carothers, Mary Ellen Myers, Ruth H. Tillson and Deborah J. Chastain; sons, Kenneth E and Stephen R.; brother, Joseph D. Wehunt; sister, Jean Meekins; 27 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Her daughter Penelope Sue "Penny" died in infancy.
