Two cannon ball trains making a run between Decatur and Kansas City collided in dense fog and both engineers and two Italian immigrants were killed; several employees and passsengers were injured and the two engines and five cars were toally destroyed. The accident took place at a small flag station, Aladdin, about three and one-half miles east of Hannibal, Mo.
Engineer Alfred S. Bouchard, who was killed in the collision on the Wabash railroad at Aladdin early on Tuesday morning, was born July 2, 1847, in Detroit, Mich. He was for a time engaged in the United States secret service. He was married April 24, 1865, to Miss Sarah V. Massey, of Alexandria, Va. He had been engaged in the railroad business for twenty-five years, twelve of which were spent as an engineer on the Wabash railroad. He leaves a wife and four children, Alfred S., Rudolph Richard, Nettie (Erminie F.) and Virgie (Sarah Virginia)Bouchard, all living at home; his mother, residing in Georgia; five brothers, Alson, of Dennison, Tex.; Edward, of Greencastle, Tex.; George, of Kirkwood, Mo.; Eugene, of Savannah, Ga., and Joseph, who is in the United States navy, and two sisters.
The funeral will take place from St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral, preceded by a short service at the residence. The time has been extended to permit the attendance of his brothers and mother.

Alfred S. Bouchard, Sr., was born in Detroit, Mich., June 2, 1847, and was 44 years of age. He was one of six brothers, all of whom have been railroad engineers. He came to this city about twelve years ago and has been an engineer on the Wabash ever since. He had been a railroader for twenty-five years and this was the first accident he had ever been in. He was a kind husband, a loving father, and a friend to all with whom he came in contact. He was a straightforward and honest citizen and his death will be deeply mourned by a long list of his friends. He was a highly esteemed member of St. Paul's Lodge of Masons, and next week he was to have been initiated into the Select Knights and was preparing for the ceremony at the time of his death.
