She was the wife of Finis M. Battles. They married in Ashland on April 29, 1906. He preceded her in death along with one daughter and one son. She passed away at the McAlester hospital at the age of 97. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ada Freeman of Hartshorne; five grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, 1985 in the Mills Funeral Chapel of Hartshorne with Rev. Billie Boyles and Rev. Charles Sumpter officiating.
