Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Hemphill, 89 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Living Way Apostolic Church West Monroe. Officiating will be Joel Hemphill, David Hemphill and Rev. Carl Shurte. Interment to follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mrs. Hemphill was born March 26, 1918 in Ouachita Parish and passed February 8, 2008 in West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elder W. T. Hemphill, step-children, Col W. T. Hemphill Jr., Ruth McKeithen, Lois Wingate, Rev. Daniel Hemphill, Mary Evelyn Corr; brothers, Clyde Brown, Bill Brown, Steward Brown; sisters, Gladys Fuller and Gertrue Wall. Mrs. Hemphill worked diligently alongside her beloved husband, W. T., as they founded and pastored numerous churches in California and Louisiana. Their life-long work culminated in establishing and pasturing what is now Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe.

She is survived by children; Joel and wife LaBreeska Hemphill, Anna Gayle and husband Jerry Hicks, Rita Mayo and husband James, David and wife Leah Hemphill, Brenda and husband Marvin Deason, step-daughters, Juanita Kelley and Verba Spillers; grandchildren; Joel Hemphill, Jr. Trent Hemphill, Candy Hemphill Christmas, Jerri Gayle Ginn, Tonya Back, Michelle Smith, Rachel Holmes, Preston Mayo, LaTasha Kersh, Brittney Pearce, Quint Deason, Amanda Deason; 18 step-grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joel Hemphill Jr., Trent Hemphill, Kendall Ginn, Preston Mayo, Quint Deason and Tim McKeithen.
