CENTRAL VALLEY, UT - Rose Adeline Christensen, 91, of Central Valley, Utah passed away May 14, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nevada at her son's home.
She was born November 20, 1913, in Randolph, Utah to Brady and Amelia Feller Stolpe. She married Karl Avery Christensen, of Richfield, August 8, 1939 in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death August 14, 1981.
Adeline attended Utah State University where she met her husband, Karl. She was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed teaching the trailblazers class in Primary and being a visiting teacher. She traveled extensively throughout the world including Russia, China, Africa, and Scandinavia. Adeline had a talent for gardening and decorating. She loved to entertain her "Club" ladies. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and children. She was always ready to "go for a ride" and appreciated the beauty of nature.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Lynn (Janet) Christensen, Las Vegas, NV, Marilyn Rose (Craig) Daniels, Richfield; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Lewis Richardson, Logan, Kathryn Bullock, West Valley City; brother, Frank Mitchell, Montpelier, ID. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Karl; two sons, Robert Karl Christensen, Calvin Lee Christensen; brothers, Manuel Stolpe, Fred Stolpe; sister, Gladys Stolpe; brothers-in-law, ElRoy Lewis; Willard Bullock.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel (50 S. 100 W, Richfield). Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary Friday from 6-8 p.m. and again Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
The family wishes to extended their gratitude to Joe and Janet for the loving and devoted care provided to Adeline the last months of her life.
