Daughter of Mary Etter (Cravens) and Joe C. Bryant. Wife of Arnold B. Wilson. Mother of Allene, Paul, Edwin and Ray.

Effie was my mom's sister.

Her obituary from the October 23, 1967 Champaign News-Gazette:

Rantoul - Mrs. Effie Wilson, 62, 312 N. Sheldon, Rantoul, died early Monday (October 23, 1967) in her home. She had been in failing health for several years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rantoul Church of the Nazarene. Prayer services will be at 1:30 p.m. in the Lux Memorial Chapel, Rantoul. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Rantoul. Visitation is Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Lux Chapel. Born January 17, 1905 in Columbia, Kentucky, Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of Joe and Loretta [error - actually Mary Etter] Cravens Bryant. She was married to Arnold Wilson in Columbia on February 5, 1905 [error, correct date is 1925]. They came to this area in 1925 and farmed north of Rantoul, retiring in Rantoul three years ago. Mrs. Wilson was an active member of the Rantoul Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are her husband; one son, Ray, of rural route Ludlow; four sisters, Mrs. Nona Stackhouse of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Miss Nora Bryant, of Louisville, Kentucky, Mrs. Mary Sullivan of Plainfield, Indiana, and Mrs. Pauline Shipley of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Owen Bryant of San Fernando, California, and Arthur Bryant of Greenfield, Indiana; and four grandchildren. Three children, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
