Fourth son of John William Jackson and Laura Elma Trisler Jackson. Lived near and attended grade school at Barterville, KY. Completed eighth grade at Berea College school. Moved with widowed mother to Mt. Orab, Brown Co., Ohio in 1927. Met and married Ocie Rebecca Howlett near Williamsburg, Clermont Co., Ohio on August 18, 1934. Eight of nine children born at farm home near Mt. Orab. Moved family to farm about six miles NW of Odell, Gage Co., Nebraska, in June 1951. Last child born in Odell in June 1952. Moved remaining family to farm two miles N of Urbana, Dallas Co., Missouri in December 1962. Lived there for remainder of his life except when he was in the Chest Hospital at Mt. Vernon, Missouri where he passed away in June 1980 at age 80. Wife, Ocie (1910-1994) is buried at Bowers Chapel Cemetery N of Urbana, Missouri, even though his marker includes her name. Predeceased by son J W Jackson (1937-1976) who is buried at Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Nebraska.
