Carnegie Man's Mother Dies At Comanche Home
Funeral services for Mrs. W. P. Biffle, mother of J.R. Biffle, Carnegie, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Methodist church in Comanche.
Mrs. Biffle, 89 years of age, died at her home in Comanche early last Wednesday morning after an illness of three weeks and three days. She was born January 22, 1870, in Montague county, Texas and was married to W. P. Biffle at Deleon, Texas, Nov. 21, 1889. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1949.
She had been a resident of the Comanche area since 1904 and had been a member of the Methodist church for 82 years.
She is survived by five sons, H. P. and John of Duncan, Roy and Kelsey of Comanche, and J. R. Of Carnegie; two daughters, Mrs. R. L. McKelvin and Mrs. J. M. Boon, both of Comanche; 46 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Dora Shelton of Antlers, and Mrs. Epsie Hughes, Nashville, Tenn.; and two brothers, John McEachern of Arizona and Charles McEachern of Abilene, Texas.
