In 1881, Charlotte's parents were living at 87 Fitzwilliam Place, Bowling, Bradford, Yorkshire. Her father was 37, a general labourer, unemployed.
The family moved to the Tilbury area where the building of new docks provided work.
Charlotte married 25 December 1890 Charles Baker of Tunbridge Wells. Charles was born about 1864 although no birth record has been found.
Charlotte and Charles were married at Chadwell St. Mary, Tilbury, Essex. Charles had moved to Tilbury in the mid 1880's and boarded with the Chambers family
