Debra Ann Burke, age 57, departed this life after an 8 year battle with cancer, on Monday, February 4, 2008 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Born on February 25, 1951 in Independence, KS to Darrell and Bessie Royse. Debbie grew up and attended school in Elk Falls, KS. A high school graduate from Moline, KS, she attended Independence Junior College. Debbie worked for Fort Riley, KS for the Federal Gov't. where she met her husband Tom. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, William T. "Tom" Burke; mother Bessie Royse of Howard, KS; sisters Darlene (Ron) Bradley of Howard, KS, Claudia (Steve) Ortega of Independence, KS.
Preceded in death by father Darrell Royse; grandparents Charles and Ida Mae Osborn, Fred and Ethel Royse.
