Funeral services for Orton Bennett Sr., 77, were conducted from the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Graham at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 8, with the Rev. Mr.. White of Fort
Worth, officiating. Burial was in Center Ridge Cemetery under direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mr. Bennett was born February 5, 1871, in Falls County, Texas, near Marlin. He came to this section with his parents at the age of seven, and lived the balance of his life in Young County. He was a pioneer farmer and stock raiser of the state.

He and Miss Pauline Bottoms were married in 1896. He became affiliated with the Latter Day Saint Church and remained a faithful worker until his death. During his active days he traveled many miles to hear the gospel, seeking self enlightenment.

Death came at his farm southwest of Bryson at 6:55 a.m. Saturday, following a critical illness of several weeks duration.

Mr. and Mrs. Denning will move from Seymour to make their home with Mrs. Bennett.
