Ramoncita Salazar – Age 86 a resident of Youngsville passed away on Friday, July 29, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe I. Salazar Sr. in 1996; son, Dennis Salazar in 1949; parents: Alejandrino and Carolina Salazar; granddaughter, Jennifer Salazar; and son-in-laws: Roy Romero and Lee Padilla. She always wanted her family to be together and to be happy. She was always cooking, making her red chili and her homemade jelly while her husband Joe I. played his acoustic guitar. She loved to sing and pray the rosary; she was a Cursillista and was a devoted and faithful Catholic. She would always listen to the rosary on KDCE 950 AM daily and pray along with the community group. But most important she always encouraged her children to stay in school in order to advance in their careers with lots of love. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be missed dearly. She is survived by her children: Napoleon and wife Helen of El Guache, Mary and husband Benny of Española, Eloy and wife Marylou of La Mesilla, Leroy and companion Carmelina of Española, Julia and husband Archie of Abiquiu, Joe I. Jr. and wife Isabel of Hernandez, Betty and companion Leroy of El Rancho, her twins: Alex and wife Mable of La Mesilla and Carolina Salazar of Santa Fe, Teresa of Española, Raymond and wife Therese of Bosque, Lucy and husband Loren of Hernandez, Daniel and companion Claudine of Española, Annette and husband Kevin of Dolores, Colorado and Judy and husband Leroy of La Mesilla; grandchildren raised as her own children: Renee and husband Michael of Santa Fe, Danny Ray, Ronnie and wife Consuelo and Christine "Kristy" and companion Rubel all of Española; 91 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 31, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu. Interment will follow at the Cañones Cemetery in Cañones with the following serving as pallbearers: Napoleon, Eloy, Leroy, Joe I. Jr., Alex, Raymond, Daniel and Danny Ray Salazar. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her sons: Ronnie Salazar and his son, Jose Lorenzo, Juan, Fernando, Jerry, Jimmy, Joseph, Johnny, Peter, Kenny, Christopher, Alexander, Andrew, Alfonso, Jose Miguel, Juan Diego, Francisco and Eric Salazar, Michael and Jerome Jaramillo, Carlos, Leonard and Dennis Padilla, Randy Raffensparger, Towne and Forrest Abercrombie and Kenneth and Kyle Joseph.
