Carolina Salazar – Age 56 a resident of Youngsville, NM passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007. She was the daughter of Jose I. Salazar, Sr. and Ramoncita Salazar. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Leroy Salazar and Dennis Salazar; niece, Jennifer Salazar; nephew, Joseph; and brothers-in-law, Roy Romero and Lee Padilla. May their souls rest in peace. She is survived by her children: Renee Romero and husband Michael and their children: Michelle and Michaela of Santa Fe; Danny Ray Salazar and Karen and her son, Isaiah of La Mesilla; Ronnie Salazar and wife Consuelo and their children: Jose Lorenzo and KayLee of La Mesilla, Christine Leyba and husband Rubel and daughter, Anessa of El Duende, Randy Raffensparger and wife Joelene; and Veronica-Rae Raffensparger of Santa Fe; brothers and sisters: Napoleon Salazar and wife Helen of Hernandez, Mary Serrano and husband Benny of Española, Eloy Salazar and wife Marylou of La Mesilla, Julia Jaramillo and husband Archie of Abiquiu, Joe I. Salazar, Jr. and wife Isabel of Hernandez, Betty Salazar of Tesuque, her twin brother, John Alex Salazar and wife Mable of La Mesilla, Teresa Romero of Española, Raymond Salazar and wife Therese of Belen, Lucy Abercrombie and husband Loren of Hernandez, Daniel Salazar and companion Claudine of Youngsville, Annette Joseph and husband Kevin of Colorado and Judy Martinez and husband Leroy of La Mesilla; and numerous other relatives and friends. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be recited on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. A second rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial will follow at the Cañones Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Napoleon, Eloy, Junior, John Alex, Raymond and Daniel Salazar. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: 71 nephews and nieces 78 great nephews and nieces; 3 great-great nephews and nieces; and Goddaughters: Noelle Maestas and Elena Martinez and her dog, Patches. A special thank you to those who participated in the rosary and the singing of the services and also thank you to the mortuary.
