"Doddie M.E. Conover passed away Saturday,November 2006 at the Sierra Vista Hospital after a short and vicious round of cancer.She was surrounded by family and friends in her final moments.
Doddie was born in Lordsburg on February 17, 1959 to David and Billie Dunagan of Animas.She grew up on the Needmore Ranch, south of Animas,and graduated from Animas High School in 1977.She gave birth to a daughter Dawn Michelle and was later married to Bill Conover and they have a daughter named Dusti Rose.She resided and worked in Animas,Playas and Lordsburg before moving with her family to Double Adobe 7 years ago.
Doddie was preceded in death by her two brothers,Charles and Buster Dunagan and will be laid to rest next to them in the Middle Animas Cemetery.
Survivors include both of her parents,David and Billie Dunagan,her husband Bill Conover,her daughters Dawn and Dusti,her nieces Rebecca and Rachel Dunagan, and a two week old grandson Aric David.She also leaves behind a sister Mona and a brother Clint as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held for Doddie at the Middle Anima Cemetery on Saturday November 18 2006 at 1 PM followed by a reception at the Animas Community Center.
Pallbearers will be Vincent Laupola,Daniel Dunagan,Dawn Conover,Dusti Conover,Kurt Conover,and Clint Dunagan.Honorary bearers ar Aric Conover,David Dunagan,Charles Dunagan,Paul Dunagan,Steve Dunagan,Tauapa'I Laupola and Pa'I Laupola"
