Obituary for John F. Ball

Text: Special edition of the Avilion Times of Sarpy co. Nebraska June 25 1931!
John F. Ball the son of James Melvern and Julia Etta Ball (Noe), goes the distinction of having hauled the rough dimension lumber for the Plattford Church, built in the early days. The cottonwood lumber was cut and sawed into timbers at the home sawmill near South Bend, on Glover Island in the Platt River.
All of the dimension lumber was hauled from this mill, the remaining lumber having been brought in from Springfield.

Omaha paper dated March 3 1951 Saturday,
Buried Monday 5 march 1951, Ball, John F. age 80 years, residence 1450 so. 18th St. survived by his wife Belva, one son, Howard, and one daughter miss Irma Ball of Omaha and one grandchild, one brother, Asa Ball of Arlington California. Funeral Monday 2 PM John A Gentleman Mortuary; Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
