Mrs. Thelma Evans, 79, of Baton Rouge, La., formerly of Carrollton, died March 20, 2002 of heart failure at Baton Rouge Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La.
She was a retired seamstress and a member of University Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, La.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Mr. Orbie Lee Evans.
Funeral services were held March 23 at Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton with Rev. Bennie Watson officiating.
Mrs. Evans is survived one son, Sonny Evans of Baton Rouuge, La.; three sisters, Augusta Denley of Carrollton, Flora Noland of Carrollton, Maurine Nokes of Greenwood; one brother, Paul McCluskey of Carrollton; one grandchild.
Lee Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
