RAYMOND F. CONNER, III, age 63 of Gainesville, FL passed away Saturday January 19, 2008 in Gainesville. He was born November 10, 1944 in Memphis, Tenn. He was a jet aircraft technician aboard the aircraft carrier USS Independence, while serving with the United States Navy during Vietnam. He enjoyed piloting small aircraft and playing chess.
He is survived by his five daughters- Shannon (Scott) McLeish, Damien (Daniel) Conner, Erin (Brett) Milam, Ashley (Paul) Rorie, and Christian (Todd) Tharp, a brother- Marc Conner, sisters- Cindy, Debbie and Robin, step mother- Adell Conner and his ten grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Milam Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville, FL at 11:00 am on Friday January 25, 2008. Interment will be with military honors in Florida National Cemetery.
