Woodrow Russell Nance, Jr. age 63, of Tazewell, was born March 12, 1938 and passed away December 16, 2001 at Claiborne County Hospital.
He was of the Methodist Faith. He was retired from the Air Force and a Vietnam Veteran. He was retired from the Department of Human Services of Claiborne County. He was preceeded in death by his parents: Woodrow and Sarah Elizabeth Nance; sister, Barbara Disney.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Nance of Tazewell; daughters and son-in-law:, Sonia (and Eric) Kinback of Jensen Beach, Fl., Denise and Eddie Bunch of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law: Mike and Linda Nance of Los Vegas, Nv., sisters and brother-in-law: Mary and Glenn M. Humphrey of Clinton, Sarah and Dykie Runion of North Carolina; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services were held 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 18 in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leonard Brooks officiating.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 19 at Irish Memorial Gardens in Tazewell.
