EVA C. (HICKOK) ATKINSON, age 89, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the GLENDALE CEMETERY, 49th and University Avenue, Polk County, Des Moines. The family and friends will meet at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa at 11 a.m.
Eva was born August 9, 1918. She was the daughter of Charles and Verna HICKOK.
Eva lived in Chariton, Iowa and worked in the offices for the Chariton Wholesale (Hy-Vee) for thirty-three years.
In 1991 and after her retirement, Eva moved to Des Moines, Iowa.
Through the years Eva was active in the Eagles Women's Auxiliary.
She also managed the Crises Center in Chariton, Iowa.
Her grandson Rusty, and her parents preceded her in death.
