Leta was born in Winnsboro (Wood County) Texas in 1942 to Charlie Morris Clark and Dovie Iva Sanford Clark. She later moved to Dallas and became a property manager for several complexes in Dallas before managing properties in Georgia, Arizona, New York, Florida, Delaware, Misssippi, and West Virgina.

Leta returned to Texas and resided there until her death. She died in Atlanta, GA while visiting her family for the holidays after a long and courageous battle with heart disease.

Leta was a very caring person. She often fed people who were down on their luck. Nobody ever went hungry if she knew about it. If people needed help, she would give it willingly.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to play jokes. She really just loved to laugh.

Leta was preceeded in death by her parents, Morris and Dovie Clark. She is survived by her daughter, two grandaughters, three great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, several neices and nephews and many, many wonderful friends.

"Go rest high on that mountain....
Mom, your work on earth is done....
Go to heaven a shouting...
Love for the Father and the Son"
