Joseph was born in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He died in 1832 in Pike Township in Coshocton County, Ohio. He is buried together with his wife Elizabeth on the old Chaney homestead in Pike Twp.Although I haven't been to the old Chaney homestead, I have been told it was on the Muskingum/ Coshocton county line. I will be consulting some old plat maps. Joseph is quite possibly one of my ancestors, as I recall my father telling me that we were related to every Chaney family that lived in our area.
