Services held at the First Baptist Church of Iredell with Rev. Jason Horine, pastor, officiating. She had lived in the Iredell area most of her life and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Iredell. She was born in Hill County, near Aquilla. She moved to Bosque County in 1925 with her parents. She was a cook for the Iredell public schools for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sons - Butch, Wayne, Bill, and Ben; one daughter - Peggy.
Survived by two daughters: Dorothy Holub and Edna Rose Berbami; two sons - Steve Bateman and Bert Bateman; two brothers - Sidney Cockrell and Willis Cockrell; four grandchildren; one great-grandson.
