SLEDGE - Pearl Harpole, 77, retired nurse, died of heart failure Monday at Methdist Hospital in Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks with burial in Longtown (Miss.) Cemetery. She was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church. Mrs. Harpole, the widow of John Esco Harpole, leaves two daughters, Dorothy Thomas of Lakeland, Fla., and Lanelle Hudspeth of Tunica; four sons, John C. Harpole and Jeff Harpole, both of Southaven, Jerry E. Harpole of Farmington, N.M., and Don Harpole of Memphis; a brother, Thomas Beaird of Modesto, Calif., 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
