GENE AUTRY -- Services for Charlie B. Berryman, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Kirk Rushing officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Berryman was born July 8, 1918, to Reed and Bama Antwine Berryman. He died Feb. 12, 2000, at his Gene Autry residence.
He married Rebecca Martin June 5, 1944, and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by four sons, John H., Leonard L., Ronnie and Charles; three sisters, Gertrude Milbrook, Leola Jaggers and Ada Berryman; and three brothers, Curtis, Willie and M.C.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, James, Ardmore; six daughters, Rena Smith, of the home, Ruth Haskins and Paulette Berryman, Ardmore, Patricia Gay, Brenda Mayfield and Carol Gilbert, Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Oletha Williamson, Ardmore, and Evelyn Roberts, Gene Autry; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Kirk-Dawson-Dillard Funeral Home will direct services.
