He passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2003. Dale was born on Dec.1, 1933 in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School, West Texas State University, and received his masters from Texas Tech University. He married Mary Ford on Dec. 23, 1955. They had two daughters and a son. Dale was in the educational field for 40 years. He was principal for West Elementary for 19 years. He taught students from elementary through high school. He was elected Citizen of the Year in 1985. He served as president for the Evening Lions Club. Dale was on the board of the H.C.S.E.C.U. His concern for children led him to serve on the Child Welfare Board and the Citizen's Service League. He was also the President of the Cochran/Hockley County Retired Teachers Association. Dale is preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter Tori Albright and his parents,a brother and a sister.
