He married Louisa Adeline Noble December 27, 1877 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Married Harriet Ann Whitaker Taylor December 7, 1871 in Salt Lake City and also married Elizabeth Harrison.
Rodney died in Salt Lake City of sepsis from a streptococcus.
