Rick Casey, 11, of Liverpool, passed away Friday at home with his family and friends at his side. Born in Syracuse, Rick was a sixth grader at Jamesville Dewitt Middle School. He enjoyed baseball, soccer, and basketball having participated in the OCC summer basketball camp. Rick was an avid snowmobile racer on the Rock Maple Racing Circuit. He was a communicant of St. John's Church. He is survived by his parents, Margery A. Casey and Richard Gordon of Liverpool; three sisters, Jennifer, Candace and Tiffany; maternal grandmother, Joyce Casey; paternal grandparents, Richard and Diane Gordon. Rick's greatest loves were his family, friends, and his school where he was referred to as the "mayor". Services will be Tuesday in St. John's Church, 8290 Soule Rd. Liverpool, at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Monday at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville. Contributions may be made to the, JDHS Scholarship Fund in memory of Rick M. Casey, care of, JDMS, Randall Road, Jamesville, New York 13078.
