She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Baldwin Sr. Geraldine was a member of Rose Union Baptist Church and attended the Wintergreen Christian Church after she moved from Piney River.
She is survived by one son, Charles S. Baldwin Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Afton; one daughter, Kay B. Bryant and her husband, Steven, of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Sidney Baldwin and his wife, Wendy, of Afton, Eliza Baldwin of Christiansburg, Jonathan, Sara and Megan Bryant, all of Clifton Forge; two devoted friends, Raymond and Beth Spitler of Afton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home by the Rev. Gregory Taylor with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockfish Valley Rescue Squad, 11100 Rockfish Valley Highway, Afton, VA 22901 or the American Cancer Society, 3042-D Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
