Dorothy Allan, nee Olive, 89, of Collinsville, Ill., born Nov. 25, 1918, in New Douglas, Ill., died at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Allan worked at Gerding Drug Store, Collinsville, Ill., as an assistant pharmacist for 18 years and retired in 1970. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo G. Allan; and her parents, Gordon G. and Melba J., nee Spies, Olive.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Allan of Edwardsville, Ill.; two granddaughters, Kimberly Hartmann and Christina Beard, both of Edwardsville, Ill.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
