Charles M. "Charlie" Flynn, age 75, of Grove City, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, February 10, 2007, at The Village of Westerville after prolonged illness. Born November 3, 1931, in Columbus, OH. Retired after 47 years with the Timken Company. Member of United Steelworkers of America, Local 2173. US Army Veteran, Korean War '51-'53. Member Amvets Post 89. Alumni Hilliard HS, Class of '50. Varsity letters in football, basketball, and track. Avid enthusiast of the outdoors, sports, nature and music. Preceded in death by parents Edward Leo and Emma Marie (Renner) Flynn, infant son Charles "Little Charlie" Flynn, siblings Elizabeth, Pat, Bernie (Dot), Carol (Dusty Coats), Mary Ann (Jack Erion), Ed (Mary), Joe, Bob (Donna), and Bill Flynn. Survived by devoted wife of 54 years, Charlotte (Jones) Flynn; children, Steve (Linda), Jim, Nancy, Susan (Jerry) Trimbach of Dayton, OH, and Loreen E. Flynn of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Talitha (Michael) Berfeld, Scott Heeter, Julie Flynn (Todd Snyder), Alexander J. Trimbach and David J. Trimbach; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kirsten, Nathan, Eli, Jacob, and Ryleigh; siblings, Hilda Marie Donahue of Toledo, OH, John (Mary) Flynn, Dave (Irene) Flynn of Haggerstown, MD, and Mike (Casey) Flynn of St. Paul, MN; in-laws, Lois McCleary of Sebring, FL, Leona Flynn of Sebastian, FL, Susie Flynn, Robert (Rosemary) Jones, Alberta Downer of Palmetto, FL, and Louis (Linda) Jones of Hilton Head, SC; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; beloved canine companion, Dotty; and many, many friends.
