Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Marie Blackwell, 58, Kirbyville, were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Whelchel Chapel with the Rev. Bob Grady officiating.
Burial was in Edwards Cemetery at Kirbyville.
Mrs. Blackwell died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, after a long illness.
She was born February 25, 1915, Powersite, the daughter of William and Margaret Friend.
She was united in marriage January 22, 1933 to Floyd Blackwell in Powersite and to this union was born eight children. One son, Donald Harold, preceded in death in 1938.
Survivors are her husband, Floyd; three daughters, Mrs. Iris Gregg, Republic, Mrs. Carol Beaman,Steelville, and Margaret, of the home; four sons, Darrell and Douglas, Klamath Falls, Ore., Danny, Forsyth, and Dwight, of the home; four brothers, Phynas, Clarence, and Wilbur Friend, Klamath Falls, Ore., and Troy, address unknown; and 14 grandchildren.
