Turlock, July 9 – Services were held this afternoon for Mrs. Martha Josephine Carlson, 65, who died in a local hospital last week.
Born In Michigan, she also lived in Iowa and Nebraska before moving to the Hilmar Dist. 29 years ago. Member of the Berea Lutheran Church, active in the Berea Ladies Aid Society.
Survived by husband, Swan G Carlson; 2 sons, Ivan F and Earl N Carlson; 2 daughters, Mrs. Edna Kap and Miss Adelia Carlson; 2 grandchildren, all of Hilmar; 2 brothers, C. O. Larson of Bradshaw, NE, and M. E. Carlson of Glenn's Ferry, ID. (Note husband Sven G and assume brother Larson, not Carlson).
Rev. Carl O Muhr, pastor of Berea Lutheran Church officiated, interment in the Berea Cemetery.
