Elizabeth Jane Levi Sparks was the daughter of Solemon and Jane Richey Levi.
She married John Stephen Sparks on June 3, 1843, in Allen County, Kentucky. Elizabeth and Stephen Sparks had six children together: Amanda Ellen Sparks Shaw, Robert Thomas Sparks, John Solomon Sparks, William Wesley Sparks, Louise Margaret Catherine (Puss) Sparks Smith, and Mary Virginia Elizabeth Sparks.
After Stephen died, Elizabeth married John Roberts on December 7, 1869. This was John Roberts' second marriage. The couple had no children together.
The date on the headstone is incorrect; it should be 1825-1874. The current stone was erected in 1964 using money gathered during the Robert T. Sparks reunion in Denton, Texas. It replaced a 95-year-old inferior stone.
