Graveside services for Mary Ann Rankin, 97, of Houston will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Pastor Will Heimback officiating.
Ms. Rankin died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Afton Oaks Nursing Home in Houston.
A Houston resident for 77 years, she was born March 2, 1910, in Belton to James Garret and Thula (Busby) Rankin.
Ms. Rankin was a bookkeeper for various insurance companies and CPAs.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Houston and attended Park Place Baptist Church in Houston.
Ms. Rankin was a member of Eastern Star and she enjoyed singing in the church choir and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, J.M. Rankin, Charlie Rankin and J.G. Rankin; and three sisters, Gladys (last name unknown), Clara Burchfield and Helen (last name unknown).
